Make no mistake about the truth; the NRA is not a gun rights organization; and it has not been a respected organization since the mid-1970’s. It is only a lobby. They have one purpose; to increase gun sales. The NRA has not supported a Democrat for decades, because it does not want to allow legislation to be passed which would create gun safety.
The NRA is spending millions of dollars to elect Donald Trump and other Republicans. Here in Nevada it supports Joe Heck for Harry Reid’s soon to be vacated Senate seat. Its television ads are absolute falsehoods, attacking Catherine Cortez Masto incessantly. In this instance, Cortez Masto is at the center of a dispute between Nevada’s Law Enforcement agencies and the NRA. Nearly every agency in the state has endorsed her.
The NRA is also fighting our state’s Proposition One. The measure would require background checks for all gun purchases, including gun shows and online. The NRA is spending millions of dollars to defeat the bill. It has included the services of four influential Republican politicians, who just happen to take money from the NRA for their campaigns. Only these elected officials; Washoe County Sheriff, Chuck Allen; Carson City Sheriff, Ken Furlong; Attorney General, Adam Laxalt; and Governor Brian Sandoval are opposed to the proposition, while officers who actually uphold the law are in favor of it.
The NRA loves to learn about deaths from guns purchased illegally. Every time such a tragedy occurs, gun sales rise. Death is good business for them. They have no concern for the safety of the American people; profit is their only motive.
They are so opposed to any form of gun safety, that when reports were released that a small child shoots his or herself, or another man, woman or child, every other day in the United States, they saw dollar signs, and not a reason to instruct gun owners regarding proper gun storage in the home.
The NRA is very afraid of Hillary Clinton; she will do the right thing. The gun lobby is running ads and using Donald Trump to spread a complete lie that she would repeal the second amendment. Nothing is further from the truth. She adamantly supports the rights of legal gun owners, but also believes in the rights of innocent Americans who fear going to church, a movie, a restaurant, or sending their children to school.
Now, here’s the final fact, and proof that the NRA is making fools our of millions of Americans.
NRA members must pay dues. The NRA is heavily funded by gun manufacturers and gun sellers to lobby Republicans to refuse to vote for any law restricting the sale of lethal weapons. Paying dues to the NRA is nothing more than paying money to one of the most corrupt organizations in America; a lobby. Oh what fools Americans can be.
