In 2003 George W. Bush lied to Congress and the American people. Under orders from Bush and Dick Cheney, our nation invaded a sovereign country under false pretenses. Hundreds of thousands of lives were taken, and trillions of dollars all related to the cost of the war bankrupted our nation. No legal action was ever taken, not by our FBI or the World Court. War Crimes were a fact which were ignored by everyone but those of us who demand justice.
The mainstream media seldom discussed these facts; they were ordered to ‘downplay’ them by the Republican Party. The “fourth estate” ceased to exist when a lack of talent in journalism began to rely on information distributed by our government rather than “doing the work” which real journalists did in the past. There are no longer honest reports by individuals such as Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, or Edward R. Murrow.
This is where we are today. E-mails have been a greater discussion than the needless deaths of American soldiers. Corruption at the highest levels have been dismissed. Today, the FBI and the media are focused on e-mails in an attempt to discredit Hillary Clinton. After 70 years of loving my nation, I am appalled at the farce our government and our election process has become. I am no longer proud to be an American. I cannot support a government whose only purpose is to achieve personal ambition. I have no respect for a single member of an entire political party. Nominating a sexual predator who supports white supremacy and the repeal of the first amendment is unforgivable.
20 or 30 years ago, a degenerate such as Donald Trump would never have been nominated by a major party. Republicans have lost their moral center, and accepted a man we have learned to be one of the most disgusting individuals in our nation. His illegal business practices, immoral association with unscrupulous associates, his failure to pay workers for completed jobs, and his alleged acts of sexual assault would have refused him the opportunity to become the leader of our nation and the free world in the not to distant past.
But this Republican Party exists in name only. They do not represent any past GOP president with the exception of George W. Bush. Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, the first term of Ronald Reagan, and the presidency of George H.W. Bush have no resemblance to the hypocrites and traitors who now campaign under the banner of the GOP.
There are two candidates who have an opportunity to become our nation’s president. Only one is qualified, and only one has the morality and experience to be allowed consideration by true Americans. I claim that Trump is not a patriot, and is opposed to most of what our founding fathers believed. He will never be our nation’s legitimate president. I, and millions of others would never accept him as our nation’s leader. He would never represent me, and will present a danger to our nation’s very existence and be the catalyst for increased world conflict. Megalomaniacs such as Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and Trump are obsessed with power and have no concern for their subjects. Their egos and weak temperament have produced death and destruction never imagined by good and honest men.
Hillary is a good person who has been forced to endure unfair treatment by the media and now our government. She is qualified and sincere regarding her desire to represent all of the American people. She is not a hypocrite, and understands the difficulty of becoming the leader of the free world. We cannot allow the media and those in our government who are opportunistic to influence this election. Our nation’s future is in the balance.
If Trump were to win, I would be labeled a “traitor.” I would refuse to accept the authority of a man who defies my nation and the Constitution.
If you believe in the country founded by Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, Madison, and others, pleas re-post. Our nation is at a crossroads and only your vote can save my America. Thank you.
