Donald Trump no longer embarrasses me; he disgusts me. I cannot wait until November 9^th and his reprehensible rhetoric will be heard no more. His promotion of fear, anger, hatred, and violence does not represent my America. Trump cannot win if the election is about the issues and qualifications; he can only win if his lies and misdirection convince the weak-mined voter to discount the fact that Hillary Clinton is the best candidate.

Although illegal immigration is at an all time low, when Trump spoke in New Mexico Sunday, he once again lied about the situation.

“These savages are chopping off heads, drowning people. This is medieval times and then we can’t do waterboarding? ‘It’s far too tough,'” Trump said, mocking critics of the technique used by the CIA in interrogations of terror suspects under President George W. Bush’s post-9/11 administration.

Trump offers additional proof that he is a white supremacist. His hatred cannot be allowed to represent one of our major political parties or our nation. A great nation does not torture. A great nation does not demean an entire race and suggest that they are all criminals.

Trump is returning to the origin of his campaign, making immigration his central theme. But he fails to address the fate of nearly 12 million men, women, and children who already reside in our nation and remain in limbo.

“You could have 650 million people pour in and we’d do nothing about it. Think of it. That’s what could happen. You triple the size of our country in one week. Once you lose control of your borders you just have no country folks, you have no country,” Trump said, speaking in this Democrat-leaning border state.

Trump’s outrageous lies can only convince the weak-mined and uninformed. He is once again demonstrating his lack of knowledge regarding how government works. It’s very hard for me to believe that the American people would consider a man whose ignorance is a danger to our nation’s future. Trump is all about talk; he fails to offer substance.

Although Trump has been assisted by the media while Hillary has been held to a far higher standard, he remains a heavy underdog in the election. This exemplifies the truth; Trump is extremely unfit to lead our nation.

Both Democrats and Republicans should denounce Trump. If he is truly the standard bearer for the GOP, the once respected “party of Lincoln” no longer exists. Such a morally corrupt man cannot represent one of our nation’s two major political institutions.

The future of our nation will be decided on November 8^th. Will we move forward with hope? Will we return to a nation which believes in compassion and understanding, or revert to a country filled with hatred and bigotry?

Every four years the American people have an opportunity to decide which direction our nation will take for at least four years. Will you choose to support the Constitution and the principles of our founding fathers, or will you support a self-centered megalomaniac who would move us into the dark past when racism, bigotry, homophobia, and misogyny were accepted and normal?

Please vote, and vote for yourself and your loved ones, not for a man who cannot understand the daily struggles of the majority. Please re-post; and thank you.
