Donald Trump Must Choose: the Presidency or his International Business interests

dt-2

The media has given Donald Trump a free pass for 16 months. There are many situations which they have treated in a casual manner, including his bribery of elected officials, stealing from his own foundation, the fact that his campaign CEO is a white supremacist, his failed tax plan, and his alleged cases of sexual assault. One serious problem has never been revealed to the American people, and it could prevent Trump from becoming our nation’s president.

Back in August, Russ Choma wrote an interesting article for Mother Jones. He was discussing a very difficult situation Trump could face if elected. He has multiple business relationships with foreign country which would be a severe conflict of interest. He is in debt to one foreign bank for over $100 million. He has just cut the ribbon for a building near the White House. An old post office was renovated. The historical sight has been leased to Trump’s corporation for 60 years. He would literally be negotiating with himself regarding decisions made applicable to a historical monument. It is called the ‘Trump International Hotel;’ the cheapest room costs $775 per night.

BP Metropolitan Investors, LLC, had also bid on the redevelopment of the property, which was estimated at $200 million, but Trump added another $60 million to his offer in order to guarantee that the project would become his.

But this is not the end of the story. Trump has multiple business projects all over the world. He would be faced with many cases of a conflict of interest. He cannot allow family members to operate his interests for him while in office; this would be considered nepotism.

Will Trump be forced to sell his financial holdings if he becomes our president? Why isn’t this being discussed? Add to this the case of Trump University. Charges of fraud, a criminal offense, will be heard on November 28th in California. Trump remains under investigation for additional charges of fraud related to his questionable and highly controversial ‘foundation.’ He could also face criminal charges for sexual assault from at least a dozen women.

Republicans, led by Representative Jason Chaffetz, have promised to investigate Hillary Clinton incessantly if she becomes our 45th president. This makes sense; Republicans have no idea about how to perform the jobs for which they were elected. They have no work ethic, but spending millions of dollars and thousands of hours wasting taxpayer dollars has become acceptable to the media.

Trump has many problems, and offers additional dangers to our nation. The best thing for everyone is a loss to Hillary in six days. Please re-post, and make our nation’s people aware of the truth; thank you.
