Perfect Example of an Ugly Politician: Joe Heck

Heck

Our nation is in great peril. If the American people decide to elect a man who hates everything our country stands for, the end of our founding father’s dreams will become imminent. Here in Nevada, we have an equally important situation.

Harry Reid served our state for for 30 years as a senator, and is retiring in January. The contestants for his seat are Democrat and two-term Attorney General, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Republican Representative, Joe Heck. Cortez Masto is endorsed by every law enforcement agency in the state; Heck would be a poor choice and would not represent the people of the state of Nevada.

Heck was a doctor in the Army Reserve. As a two-term member of the House, he did nothing which would serve the people of my state. He is a member of the “Freedom Caucus” which promised to do nothing but obstruct any and all efforts by Democrats. He kept his promise.

Heck is owned by the Koch brothers, and supported every bill which favored the gas and oil industry, and fought against renewable energy. He voted 10 times to shut down the government if Planned Parenthood was not defunded. Worst of all, he is a major flip-flopper regarding Donald Trump, which makes him another Republican hypocrite.

In September, Heck offered unconditional support to Trump’s ambitions for the White House. When asked if he trusted him with the nuclear launch codes, he said “why not?”

On October 7th, when the ‘Access Hollywood’ tape was released, he denounced Trump at a rally and was booed for his decision.

I cannot in good conscience continue to support Donald Trump,” Heck said over jeers. “My wife, my daughters, my mom, my sister, and all women deserve better. All Americans deserve better.”

Most Nevadans agreed with him and complimented his decision.

We deserve a candidate that can ask themselves at the end of the day, ‘Did I live my life with honor and do I deserve to be elected President of the United States?’ I believe our only options is to formally ask Mr. Trump to step down, and to allow Republicans to elect someone who will provide us with the strong leadership so desperately needed,” he added.

That was in October; this is now.

During an interview in Las Vegas, Heck said that he ‘might have to vote for Trump after all.’

We’re going to wait and see what happens,” he said. “We’re working through it, but on November 8th, I’ll have a decision.”

Reading between the lines, he is telling Nevadans that he will vote for Trump.

Hypocrites do not deserve to receive the votes of our state’s residents. He has no moral center, and is opposed to the needs of those he would represent.

Our state’s other Senator is Republican Dean Heller. I don’t agree with him on several issues, but he is working for the people, and has rejected a Trump presidency.

Heck is the epitome of a self-serving politician. He seeks public office to obtain power and money, and has no intention of caring for the needs and wants of our state’s residents.

Please re-post and help me offer the truth to Nevada’s people. Thank you.
