How the Media Directed the 2016 Campaign Away from the Issues

television-news

When I hear anyone in the media complain about the fact that this year’s election has not been about the issues, I want to smash my television. It is the media that has redirected every effort by Hillary Clinton to discuss her ideas and kept the issue of her private e-mail server alive. The mainstream media has controlled the election process since August of 2015.

While Hillary was discussing the issues at her rallies, the media ignored her and covered Trump’s racist and bigoted remarks.

If the truth were told, the media won the Republican nomination for Trump. His rallies were covered five-times more than all of the other candidates together. They refused to ask him difficult and revealing questions, nor did they emphasize his obvious racism. Even when tapes were revealed as he lewdly referred to women, the coverage lasted only a couple of days. When more than a dozen women accused Trump of sexual assault, they acted as if that was normal. They talked about Bill Cosby incessantly, but Trump was given a free pass.

The media continually talked about Hillary’s use of a private e-mail server as if it was the greatest crime ever committed in the history of the world. They questioned the Clinton Foundation, but when it was revealed that Donald Trump literally stole money from his foundation, it was ignored.

We no longer have a fourth estate in our nation. We have overpaid personalities whose only job is to increase ratings.

So, the next time you hear one of these failures who call themselves journalists complain about the lack of discussion regarding the issues, turn them off; they are no longer part of the solution, they are the problem.

Please re-post, and thank you for supporting the truth.
