Catholics Approve a Sexual Predator but Condemn the Use of E-Mails

A Catholic church in San Diego has posted a sign claiming that it is a mortal sin to vote for a Democrat. Church members must be unaware that the “party of family values” is actually the party of sinners; just look at their standard bearer.

I know you’re asking; “is this another article condemning religion?” Damn right; this is a perfect example of why I believe all religions are cults.

I cannot believe that any human being accepts life’s instructions from another man or woman. If the ‘Immaculate Conception Catholic Church’ has the right to tell their parishioners, how to vote, shouldn’t they be taxed as well? Is this what Jesus Christ would do? Would He preach hatred? What gives those who support child molesters the right to judge another human being? This is what the sign on the front of the church demands.

It is a mortal sin to vote Democrat . . . immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell,” the flier said, as reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Not too harsh!

Okay, the truth is that no one is sure who placed those words in the church’s bulletin. Pastor Kevin Eckery says that the church would never say that and takes no position regarding the election.

But some ‘practicing Catholic’ did. This is what Donald Trump has helped to create; a nation filled with bullying and hatred. The reasons I cannot accept the idea of Trump becoming my nation’s president are too long to place in a short article, but at the top is his evil and negative rhetoric designed to create division within our nation.

That said, I am one of more than 65 million Americans who reject organized religion. I do not see a need to belong to an organization to find spiritual enlightenment. The world’s two largest religions, Christians and Muslims, are responsible for much of the violence and death in the history of the world. Why would I want to be a part of that?

You must also know this; I believe that the Constitution is the most important and the greatest document ever written. I would fight for anyone’s right to practice any religion if they choose to do so.

Because I am a “Constitutionalist,” I also condemn the Christian religious right. It is wrong to allow one religion to dominate the thinking of an entire political party. It has no right under the first amendment to tell women how to care for their bodies. It has no right to judge men and women who seek legal marriage. It has no right to force me to accept its beliefs by encouraging the enactment of laws aligned with its misguided views.

Here’s the final fact; Christian faiths are not experiencing a large increase in their numbers. Other than the children of those who attend church regularly, many groups, including millennials, are rejecting religions. The fastest growing religions are Muslims, and the anti-religion; atheists.

The hate-filled individual or individuals who placed these horrible words in the church’s bulletin are most certainly hell-bound. When I was a Catholic, hate was a mortal sin, and I’m certain that it remains so.

Please spread the truth and re-post; thank you.
