Four days remain until the election, and Republicans in Washington are already informing the American people that they will continue to be obstructionists if Hillary is elected. They are supporting the extremists in government who refuse to negotiate, deliberate, and compromise.
Whey would anyone vote for a man or woman who gladly accepts their base salary of $174,000 a year plus outrageous benefits, and promises to do nothing? Can you act in a similar manner where you work?
Four Republican senators have already indicated that they would block hearings for any Supreme Court nominee supported by Hillary Clinton.
“If Hillary Clinton becomes president, I am going to do everything I can do to make sure four years from now, we still got an opening on the Supreme Court,” Sen. Richard Burr (R., N.C.), locked in a tight re-election race, said in a recording made public by CNN this past week. Mr. Burr later said in a statement Tuesday he would “assess the record of any Supreme Court nominee” while noting that Mrs. Clinton in the past had backed judges he opposed for ideological reasons.
Burr is additional proof that the Republican Party no longer exists. They seek the destruction of everything positive, but have no ideas of how to replace the accomplishments for the majority during the last 60+ years. Only a fool makes up his or her mind about any issue before the facts are presented. Mr. Burr is a fool. As an Independent, I usually split my votes. However, the actions over the last eight years have forced me to vote for Democrats only.
For the good of our nation, Democrats must regain control of the Senate. If the American people were wise, they would vote in opposition to every member of the House who labels his or herself a member of the TEA Party or the Freedom Caucus. They have moved the Republican Party so far to the right that they are no longer Conservative; they are Reactionary.
I cannot become too concerned at this time. No one knows what will happen to the Republican Party after the election. Whether Trump wins or loses, the GOP will remain divided into at least three factions. I do not see a single solution which might unite them. They have done to themselves what they have done to our nation for far too long. Republicans are too divided. The GOP has far too many extremists, and very few moderates. Democracy cannot exist when extremism is the norm.
Republican leadership has failed the American people. Please re-post this and let the truth be known. Thank you.
