What Hillary and Trump Were Doing on the Day before Election Day

Clinton and Trump

Today Hillary Clinton was speaking in Pittsburgh. As she closed her speech she said: “We don’t have to accept a dark and divisive vision for America. Tomorrow you can hope for a hopeful, inclusive, bighearted America.”

Trump decided to go off message and continue attacks on Hillary, and proving that he is too old and out of touch to represent the American people.

Trump was extremely critical of Hillary’s rally this weekend, which included performances by Jay Z and Beyonce. The man who has proven himself a sexist, and has been accused of sexual assault by more than a dozen women, raged about the lyrics of some of their songs, and questioning their moral values. But then the event became completely unhinged.

Trump stopped mid-speech when he saw a rubber mask in the crowd. He said; look at this mask. Look at this mask. Oh wow. Wow, that’s beautiful. Look at that. Looks just like me.” As the mask was passed up to the stage, Trump said; nice head of hair, I’ll say that,” before tossing it back. He punctuated the aside by asking the roaring crowd, “Is there any place more fun to be than a Trump rally?”

President Obama was rallying votes for Hillary in Michigan, and had the definitive statement regarding the importance of tomorrow’s election.

After all of the noise, after the negative ads, after all the campaigning, all the rallies, it now just comes down to you,” the president said at a rally at the University of Michigan, where his celebrity was nearly matched by that of another attendee, Wolverines football coach Jim Harbaugh. “It’s out of Hillary’s hands now. It’s out of Michelle’s hands. It’s out of my hands. It’s in your hands. The fate of our democracy depends on what you do when you step into that voting booth tomorrow.”

Later he told a cheering crowd that “Trump won’t hear your boos, but he’ll hear your votes.”

I know all of you have heard this a dozen times, but please vote. Every four years the American people have an opportunity to let the government know how we feel about what happens in Washington. This year is more critical than most. On Wednesday we will know where our country will be led for four years. We can choose someone with the experience and knowledge to move us bravely forward, or vote for the standard bearer of a party which seeks destruction of true American values, and plans on repealing health care along with other progress made for the working class in the last 60 years, while failing to offer a viable option.

The media is wrong. They are claiming that the American people are not excited about this election. If they were right, why would a record number of Americans have already voted? In my own state of Nevada, early voting is popular; we average nearly a 60 percent voter turnout. This year the percentage passed 70 percent of eligible voters.

Vote for yourselves, and not a party. Vote with your brain and not emotions. Please re-post; tomorrow is critical to the future of our nation and yourselves. Thank you.
