Ignored in this election is the amount of money spent by all candidates. Make sure you are sitting down. When all donations are totaled, the number is expected to reach 6.6 billion dollars. Taking a look at the outcome, which will destroy democracy forever in America, couldn’t this money have been put to far better use?
When a Republican biased Supreme Court upheld Citizens United, winning elections became more important than caring for the needs of the American people. There is no greater proof that capitalism has failed the majority. Greed has created another third world country. With Trump as the leader of the free world, our nation will soon become a plutocracy. Democracy is extinct.
Bernie Sanders was right; capitalism created a growing income inequality in America. Only a system of democratic socialism can save our nation. For that to happen, there must be a revolution.
The United States has 536 billionaires, and an unknown number of millionaires. Their numbers are growing, and so are the numbers of Americans living in poverty. This is the ultimate failure of capitalism.
Here’s the truth. Nearly one-half of all Americans are ignorant. They elected a man who is a megalomaniac, and has no concern about anyone else. He is not my president, and he is not a man who will represent his own supporters. His choice of advisers is a “basket of deplorables.” Comparing Trump and his cronies to any past administration does not exist. From white supremacists to convicted criminals and senile old men, our government is composed of the worst in our nation. Added together, the intelligence quotient of Trump’s inner circle is less than average. They are extremists who believe in ‘profit before people.’ They are a danger to the security of the world.
I beg all of you; do not surrender to those who ask you to accept Trump and unite as a nation. We must view this as the beginning of change. Our entire system has failed the working class for decades, and it’s time for a change. Abraham Lincoln suggested a solution.
“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.”
This is our time, and the United States of America remains our country; it does not belong to the politicians who have destroyed democracy.
A man whose god is money will be living in the White House. More than 200 incidents of racism have been reported since he was given the election by the Electoral College one week ago. This is not my America. Trump’s campaign was based on hate, and his supporters are beginning their own assault upon anyone who did not support the sexual predator who is their voice; their leader.
We have a right to be angry; we have been betrayed by a system which no longer works.
