Trump’s Win Was America’s Greatest Loss

don

Wednesday evening, Hillary Clinton made a gracious public appearance, and her first comment mirrored my own from last Wednesday.

I will admit coming here tonight wasn’t the easiest thing for me,” Clinton told the audience in Washington on Wednesday night. “There have been a few times this past week when all I’ve wanted to do was just to curl up with a good book or our dogs and never leave the house ever again.”

I am ashamed to be an American where nearly one-half of our people denounced democracy and elected a fascist as our president. They elected a weak man who has proven in just a few days what Hillary said; he is unfit to be our president. His inner circle will be composed of degenerates who support white supremacy, homophobia, Islamophobia, and misogyny.

But the American people are not required to accept Trump as our president. We are the country; our government is intended to serve us, not we them. We must refuse to be placed into servitude, and deny the legitimacy of the upcoming administration.

Trump fails to have a single quality which allows him to lead our nation. The American people hoped that he would surround himself with men and women who understood our government, and would help him make wise decisions; that failed as well. We now have the worst politicians in history in control of the free world. Gingrich, Giuliani, Bannon, Gaffney, and the others are the leftovers you found in the back of your refrigerator from Thanksgiving in March.

On January 20, 2009, America was rescued from the previous worst administration in our nation’s history. On January 20, 2017, a group of criminals and immoral men and women will become the worst of the worst, and destroy what was left of our democracy. Our nation will be ruled by a plutocracy and the dream of our founding fathers will be smashed as they begin to tear-up the Constitution.
