Trump’s entire campaign was based on hatred; hatred of Hispanics, and hatred of Muslims. He appealed to the worst of America, but most of our nation’s good people believe in the Constitution, and its promise of equality, freedom, and justice for ALL Americans.
The link attached to this article will show you a picture of an anonymous man in Texas, who also believes in the America of our founding fathers. This photograph went ‘viral,’ and makes me realize why I have always been a patriot; dedicated to our nation’s people, but rarely to our government.
While two mosques in California were threatened by some who hate America, this man offered the sentiment of most of America as he stood in front of a Texas mosque. In California, a message was left stating that “Trump would cleanse our country.” In Texas, the unidentified man held a sign which read: “You belong. Stay strong. Be blessed. We are one America.”
This one instance defines the difference between Trump supporters and Trump detractors, and why our nation will remain divided as long as he is in office. Hate crimes have become commonplace since November 9th, when the American people woke up the the shameful truth that somehow the most immoral man in America was our president-elect.
Numerous stories have arisen describing how Muslims, Hispanics, and women are living in fear. Muslims are not only afraid for themselves, but if Trump keeps his promise, they may be permanently separated from many family members. Hispanics remain in limbo. What will happen to nearly 12 million men, women, and children who do not have the necessary “papers?” Women are lined up at clinics and doctor’s offices, fearful that Trump will eliminate their birth control.
The fascist plans of “Trump and His Circle of Sinners” are frightening to all real Americans; a Rush Limbaugh surrogate will be in control of the future of our nation’s people. Trump’s future is dark and foreboding; a place where hope is gone, and every day is a struggle to survive. I’m not exaggerating; he has no understanding of what a president must do every day, and no qualifications to be our president. Now he has surrounded himself with others with the same lack of ability and desire to move our nation forward.
The media is ignoring the truth; they support Trump and his hypocritical party. They have the same goals as the one-percent who own the GOP; more money. The fourth estate no longer exists. No one can believe anything they tell us; they are members of the wealthy class, and have no concern for the majority.
Regardless of what happens in the next four years, I refuse to say “heil Trump.”
