If you have never heard of Robert Mercer, you might want to remember that name. He made billions as a hedge fund operator. As Americans were losing their homes in 2008, Mercer used the great recession to increase his wealth. What does he do with all that money? Most recently he purchased the United States of America.
As Trump’s campaign began to falter, and he was running out of money, Mercer stepped in to finance Trumpenstein’s effort to win the presidency. He ordered Trump to hire Steve Bannon as his CEO, and Kellyanne Conway as his Campaign Manager. Anyone who knows politics well was scratching his or her head.
Bannon had no experience in politics. Previously, he ran Breitbart; the extremist right wing blog which promotes hatred and bigotry. He is a member of Alt-Right; a group of white supremacists. What his actual function would be; no one knew.
Conway was a pollster, and often acted as Ted Cruz’ spin doctor. As the campaign progressed, it was obvious that explaining Trump’s lies and false claims would be her primary function.
Make no mistake about it, it is Robert Mercer who is deciding who will be Trump’s advisers and receive cabinet positions. America is now Mercer’s corporation, and Trump’s “circle of sinners” have a single purpose; make Mercer the wealthiest man on the planet.
Mercer has accomplished his first goal; buying the election. It is a fact that Trump’s businesses are heavily dependent upon Russian investment. Trump has been Vladimir Putin’s asset for more than five years, and American security services are convinced that our election was influenced by Russian hackers. It would be interesting to investigate what relationship Mercer and Putin share.
The media likely knows the truth, but you will not hear it from them; they are owned by the Republican Party. All television “news” shows have become nothing more than variety shows. Facts and information no longer exist. They gave Trump a free pass for more than a year-and-a-half, and continue to do so. There is no discussion about his illegal business practices, his close association with white supremacists, or the fact that he is a sexist, and an alleged sexual predator.
If he was black, and had over a dozen accusations of sexual assault, he would be vilified by the media. Wait! That was Bill Cosby.
One thing we know, is that with Trump in office, there will be change in Washington. But do we want that change? Trump is already calling America “the homeland.” In typical fascist manner, he is repressing free speech and the freedom of the press. He admits that he was totally unaware of what the President of the United States duties entailed. He did not have any understanding that the entire West Wing Staff had to be replaced.
Yesterday Trump was in Indiana on a ‘victory tour.’ The event mirrored his campaign rallies with Trump bashing the media, and Hillary Clinton. There was no information regarding his presidency. Trump appears to be unaware that in seven weeks he will actually be forced to pretend that he is working in the Oval Office.
I am assuming that a Trump administration will be similar to that of George W. Bush. Trump will be a ‘figurehead.’ Our nation will actually be controlled by Robert Mercer and Vladimir Putin. They will be pulling Trump’s strings.
Trump lacks the knowledge and the intellect to make the many, many decisions a president must make every week. How will he react in a crisis? Saying that “I’ll make it great again” doesn’t cut it.
Since 2009 Mercer has held a Christmas party on Long Island. This year he is calling it a party for “Villains and Heroes.” Attending will be other billionaire friends of the Mercers, Trump, and his “circle of sinners.” We don’t know if there will be a token black man there, but if one is invited, it will likely be Ben Carson. I understand the “villains” part of the them, but I fail to see any “heroes.”
I wouldn’t want to be there, even if I was a billionaire. I have too much pride and too many moral standards. I could not be surrounded by this “basket of deplorables.” I wonder if the tree will be decorated with ornaments which have swastikas painted on them?
