Today Trump took his golden elevator down from his golden tower to finally speak to the press. The richest man in Japan had agreed to spend $50 billion in America, and create 50,000 jobs. The only problem is that this was planned long before the November election.
Union representatives for Carrier, the company Trump claims to have prevented from moving to Mexico, saving 1,100 jobs, claimed that Trump lied. No surprise here. First of all, Indiana Governor and hypocrite, Mike Pence, presented Carrier with millions of dollars in tax incentives to stay in his state; something Trump promised he would never do. The union rep added that the number of jobs saved was a blatant lie, and much of Carrier’s operation will continue to be moved to Mexico.
A man who has filed bankruptcy eight times cannot be considered a successful businessman. He lost money in the only sure investment in America; casinos. I know this for a fact because I worked in them for 20 years. Even the worst managed properties I worked for made a profit.
The only way he could have any success was to bribe elected officials. Trump is actually considering adding Pam Bondi to his circle of sinners, the Attorney General of Florida who accepted a bribe from Trump to cease her investigation of his fraudulent “Trump University.” Is this a plan to “shut her up,” and avoid prosecution, or a payback?
This brings me to my favorite quote by Mark Twain. Every morning I send out quotes based on the day, what’s happening in our nation, or historical events. This one by Mark Twain is extremely appropriate today.
“Patriotism is supporting your country all of the time, and your government when it deserves it.”
Trump doesn’t deserve it. Morality is important for all men, but for our president, he or she must be of exceptional character. Trump is what’s left after pond scum is removed.
His choices for his circle of sinners have a single purpose, and its not to effectively govern our nation. They have a joint goal of increasing their personal wealth, and insuring that Robert Mercer is the wealthiest man in the world.
It continues to amaze me how many men and women have bought into Trump’s bulls**t. He wouldn’t know the truth if it fell from the sky and hit him in the head. He has absolutely no substance, and definitely no class, no dignity, and therefore does not deserve my respect.
Is this what a large number of the American people want; a nation filled with anger, and mistrust? Do they believe that the leader of the free world is right; that white supremacy is valid, or that a womanizer and alleged sexual predator should be allowed to desecrate the White House?
He’s your president, white men, but he’ll never be mine.
