If the CIA, which has historically been the only security agency to challenge corrupt administrations, is correct, Russia has intervened in our election process to support a Trump presidency. The NSA, the FBI, and others are politically motivated, while the CIA has a singular concern; the legitimacy of information related to the security of our nation. Initially, Republican leaders discounted the information recently revealed to the American public. Fear of exposure as supporters of voter fraud, they capitulated and now agree that a complete investigation must be conducted immediately. What concerns me is the fact that several weeks ago congressional leaders were in formed of suspected Russian influence, and Paul Ryan accepted Mitch McConnell’s decision to discount the facts.
Those of us who closely follow politics have witnessed the traitorous actions by Mitch McConnell for the last eight years. We expected more from Ryan, but he has proven to be a hypocrite and, like McConnell, places his party before the future of our nation.
“We must condemn and push back forcefully against any state-sponsored cyberattacks on our democratic process,” Ryan’s statement on Monday promisingly began, adding that intelligence chair Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and his committee have been working “diligently on the cyber threats posed by foreign governments and terrorist organizations to the security and institutions of the United States.”
“This important work will continue and has my support,” Ryan added.
But does that mean the speaker supports investigating how Russia reportedly hacked the Democratic National Committee and published emails in an attempt to sway the presidential election?
That question still hasn’t been answered, and Ryan’s office did not respond to attempts to clarify his stance.
This was the report by the Huffington Post.
Ryan is a coward. He is fearful of his future ambition to become the president. It will never happen. Intelligent Americans are fully aware that he lacks the courage and moral conviction to do the right thing. He continually vacillated about Trump’s qualifications to lead our nation. Ryan is not fit to be the Speaker of the House; much less the leader of the free world. He is nothing more than a hypocritical Republican politician.
