Trump’s Inauguration Will be Nothing like Obama’s

obama-2

On January 20, 2009, America celebrated history, and the inauguration of a new president; (unless you were a racist). Barrack Obama became the first black president in our nation’s history. More than two million Americans crowded the streets of Washington. Dozens of celebrities were in attendance; among others, Aretha Franklin, and Yo-Yo Ma performed. The masses were celebrating; there were no protests. Trump’s inauguration will be far different and demonstrate the greatest division in our nation since the Civil War.

Trump’s staff has been unable to attract any top tier celebrities for his big day. One by one they have declined to participate. The question of his legitimacy continues to loom large.

Dozens of groups have applied for permits to celebrate or protest. As of this day, only two have been issued. One is for a group calling themselves “Bikers for Trump,” on inauguration day. The other is for what was originally called the “Million Women March,” to be held on January 21st.

On November 8th, 96 percent of Washington D.C. Residents voted for Hillary. Trump wants to cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars if he is allowed to live in his golden tower part of the time he is in office. He is presently costing the city of New York $500,000 a day in extra security. It is obvious that Trump will be spending money designated for social security, Medicare, and healthcare; using it for his personal convenience. He is offering multiple reasons for protests before he becomes the president.

As I have said many times, I am a patriot; I love my country, but not always my government. Every four years I look forward to watching the transfer of power; but not this time. I will be watching Netflix, or some other form of true entertainment. I will never accept a Trump presidency. The election was rigged, and Hillary received the people’s mandate.

Maybe he should just stay in New York on January 20th, and tweet the oath of office. The residents of Washington D.C. don’t want him there anyway.
