During President Bill Clinton’s Administration, Newt Gingrich promised the American people that Republicans would return the nation to a country dominated by morality and family values. Then he was forced out of office because of criminal activity, and served divorce papers on his second wife while she was fighting cancer. She refused to allow him to have an open marriage.

This year, his replacement, Dennis Hastert, was exposed as a child molester when a wrestling coach in a high school.

Congressional Republicans have constantly denied women equal rights under the law. Equal pay, and protection from violence have been rejected in the House and Senate. The position of the American woman in the American family has been reduced to a third priority; men first, a fetus, women, and finally children have become ‘pecking order.”

While the GOP supports the hypocritical Christian religious right, and denies a woman’s right to her personal health, they also refuse to offer healthcare or child care for millions of American children. Once a child is born, they have no interest in their future.

Millions of Americans either live in poverty or near the poverty level. This is not a concern for Republicans. Families are unimportant; they are the party of “profit before people.”

The GOP’s lack of concern for the safety and well-being of American families is appalling. Not only will they deny healthcare for 35 million Americans, and reduce social programs, while refusing to raise the minimum wage, they support the gun lobby and ignore the right of all Americans to feel safe in their daily lives.

33,000 Americans are killed by the use of a gun each year in America; most are women and children. An estimated two to three hundred children are killed or kill another child or adult with the use of a gun each year. But the NRA no longer believes in gun safety.

Until Trump was elected, who ran our nation? The answer is special interests, including the largest corporations who are the greatest polluters to our environment; the NRA; the Christian religious right; and billionaires who subvert our criminal justice system.

Trump claimed to have other plans, but his choices for his circle of sinners are all millionaires and billionaires whose interests are directly opposed to the needs of the great majority.

Extremists on the right have been accused of domestic violence at a higher rate than ever before in history. FOX Noise’ Bill O’Reilly settled out of court when charged with physically assaulting a fellow employ. Multiple Congressmen and Senators have received similar complaints which were protected from public knowledge. Just this week a South Carolina state representative, Chris Corley, was arrested on charges of domestic violence. The 911 call reveals screams from his children. A girl’s voice can be heard screaming; “daddy, please stop it, please.”

Republicans have little or no respect for women. Take the case of Ted Cruz, one of the most despicable men in America.

During the campaign season, Donald Trump verbally attack both Cruz’ father and his wife. He claimed that the senior Cruz was involved with the plot to kill John F. Kennedy. Trump referred to Cruz’ wife, Heidi, as ‘unattractive,’ and even ‘ugly.’ But Ted Cruz is now one of Trump’s biggest supporters.

Lies are favored by the right wing; ‘they can’t handle the truth.’ They claim to be the party of family values, when in truth they have no concern for the future of nearly 320 million Americans, most importantly women and children. They pass legislation favoring the one-percent, and a bloated military budget, but fail to support laws which would assist those in need.

Now we have a Republican president who denigrates women, was accused of beating his first wife, and has now received accusations by more than a dozen women of sexual assault.

A vote for a Republican is a vote against the needs of yourself and your family.
