Will Anyone be Watching Megyn Kelly on NBC?

Across the nation newspapers are going out of business. Two factors are prime reasons for the demise of the printed press. The internet has offered the ability to read virtually any publication around the world, and choose what to read based on personal interest. The second reason is the demise of baby boomers.

Print press was my staple for more than 40 years. I did not always read the daily newspaper cover to cover, but I devoured the entire Sunday edition. My children rarely read a newspaper, and millennials ignore them completely.

Television news is experiencing the same fate. Until Trump was elected, I watched the news daily. Because of their failures during the election, I never watch any of it today. I realized that the personalities are no longer legitimate journalists; afraid to tell the truth and risk the loss of advertisers. They held Hillary Clinton to a far higher standard than Trump, while ignoring his lack of morality and criminal actions. They are one of the prime reasons the presidency was gifted to the least qualified individual in history.

FOX’ number three personality, Megyn Kelly, is leaving the Republican propaganda machine, but can she help NBC’s ratings? A very good question.

Ms. Kelly gained national notoriety during the first fake-debate moderated by FOX Noise. Her personal battle with Trump was well reported. What wasn’t revealed is the fact that then FOX Noise President Roger Ailes and RNC Chairman, Reince Priebus, conspired with Kelly to derail Trump’s campaign. They failed miserably, but the mainstream media reported the exchange between Trump and Kelly ad infinitum.

Before joining the Republican propaganda machine, Kelly was an attorney and a legitimate journalist for one year. After Roger Ailes was fired for multiple claims of sexual harassment, including from Kelly, the handwriting was on the wall. Adding to this problem was her increased feud with FOX’ number one personality, Bill O’Reilly, and it was obvious that her career was nearing a change.

Kelly must be hoping that her FOX supporters will watch her on NBC. She will not be gaining new supporters based on her right wing extremism.

Personally, I wish her well; she has escaped from one of the primary reasons why our nation is so divided. But I don’t trust her. Anyone who joined FOX Noise sold themselves. They rejected true journalism and any resemblance to the fourth estate. Time will tell, but, as I previously stated, I won’t be watching.
