If you voted for Donald Trump, or any Republican on November 8th, you are definitely not a feminist; in fact you support the right wing’s war on women. During his campaign, Trump promised to make all abortions illegal, and punish women who had the procedure, and the doctors who performed them. Hypocrite and misogynist Paul Ryan has stated that his priority after Trump’s inauguration is to remove all funding from Planned Parenthood. This agency has assisted millions of low-income and impoverished women with reproductive healthcare for decades. Republican’s sole reason for destroying this agency is because it performs abortions. However, what they don’t tell you is that no federal funds have been used for abortion with the exceptions of rape or incest since 1976.
Why do Republicans hate women who have low-income or virtually no income? The answer is simple. The majority of women who use Planned Parenthood are minorities. The GOP is a white man’s party.
The good news is that old white men are dying. The generations coming of age deny all of the destructive proposals offered by the Republican Party. One of the primary changes will be the domination of politics by women.
More women are now enrolled in our universities than men. Women are choosing not to marry at a young age; careers have taken priority over family.
What is never discussed by the media is the fact that many white men in red states did not vote for Trump; they voted against Hillary because she dared to be a strong and confident woman.
Many uninformed Americans believe that President Obama had a huge struggle because he is a black man. Although there is truth in that belief, I believe that resistance to Hillary becoming our president was more fierce. During the campaign season, Trump attacked Hillary because she was a woman. He claimed that she did not ‘look presidential.’ He was right; no one without a penis has ever been elected to the presidency.
If women had ignored the instructions of the men in their lives and united behind the most qualified candidate in history, our nation would not be in the despicable situation we find ourselves in today. We would not have the least intelligent and most immoral man in history ready to soil the White House sheets.
This was the last election when old white men will control our nation’s move to the past. Republicans seek a return to the darker times in our nation’s history; the 1950’s and 60’s. Beginning with the 2018 midterms, the face of our government will change. Because congress has failed to institute term limits for themselves, the old, useless, white men who have been in office far too long, will be voted out of Washington. This is part of the revolution which has already begun.
Protests aimed at the illegitimate presidency of Donald Trump are being organized as I write this. On day one of his presidency, Trump will become the most hated man in America. Every item Trump claims that he will execute is destructive to the working class, minorities, the LGBT community, Muslims, and women. His circle of sinners is composed of millionaires and billionaires who will serve their own interests. They have never been concerned with the great majority of Americans and have no interest in changing.
Republicans are celebrating the fact that they now have a white supremacist as their standard bearer, and that their war on women has been strengthened. Right wing extremists can openly crush the rights and freedoms of minorities, women, the LGBT community, and anyone who practices a religion which is not a Christian cult. It’s their time, but the good news is that it will not last. As baby boomers are buried, millennials and women are now the largest voting blocks. Millennials denounce capitalism and support socialism. Women will soon control corporations and politics. Changes are coming, and the GOP must either reinvent itself, or cease to exist.
In just a few years the right wing’s war on women will be replaced with a war on old white men; the same men who have destroyed our government and would shred the Constitution if the opportunity arose.
But, don’t be patient; begin to act now. Revolt against those who would enslave you. Their arrogance will disappear when the new majority takes power.
