Why One-Half Million Marchers in Washington Are Far More Important Than Trump

Donald the Fascist

Trump is a 70-year-old ‘dirty old man;’ his time on the earth will soon be over, and the world will be better for it. Today an estimated one-half million protesters filled the streets of Washington to proclaim the illegitimacy of a Trump presidency. The crowd, of mostly women, will rule our nation for decades to come.

Protests supportive of those in Washington occurred all over our nation and around the world. Millions of women and men displayed their shame and anger that an immoral and hateful man such as Trump has become the leader of the free world.

In my city of Reno, Nevada, 2,500 marchers were expected; the crowd was eventually estimated at 10,000. Around the nation and the world, crowds displayed their dismay that a nation known for its respect for freedom and equality elected an immoral man who is a white supremacist, a sexist, a xenophobe, and unfit to lead the free world.

All too many people of our nation believe that America is never wrong. They are egotistical, like their president. We are the least informed nation in the world because we have the worst media in the free world. In addition, our politicians lie to us regularly.

Republicans were very aware of Trump’s immorality and inability which are required to lead our nation. However, when he won the Electoral College, they became hypocrites; profit before people and winning at all cost became their unprincipled attitude.

Across the nation, the number of protesters far exceeded the original estimates. In Los Angeles, authorities believed that as many as 80,000 Americans would join the march; the final estimate was nearly 750,000. In Denver more than 100,000 marched to denounce the nation’s new illegitimate and immoral president. In Chicago the number reached 250,000.

What may be more interesting is the thousands who protested around the world. In Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand thousands walked the streets expressing their dislike and their fear for a Trump presidency.

With but a day-and-a-half in office, Trump is already the most unpopular American president in history.

How’s your ego tonight, Mr. Trump? Will you be sucking your thumb as you soil the White House sheets?
