Charges of ethics violations were made on day one of the Trump administration. If he remains in control of his business interests, he is literally accepting gifts from foreign nations. This is a violation of U.S. law. A statement was released from the White House yesterday stating an ‘unconfirmed fact’ that Trump has divested himself from his business.

“He has resigned from the company, as he said he would, before he took office,” press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters at his first official press briefing.

When asked to produce the documents confirming his claim, a spokesperson said: the “documents are “not public at this time.” Really?

There is no factual proof that Trump has taken actions which would uphold the law. From past experience, we must doubt Trump’s veracity. During his victory tour, he told his supporters that he ‘could do whatever he wanted to do,’ indicating his complete lack of understanding related to the American government.

Trump’s claim that he has divested himself from his business must be filed in Florida, Delaware, and New York. As of today, none of the three states has received documents which would separate Trump from his financial interests.

If nothing else disturbs you about our illegitimate president, his continued arrogance should. He believes that he is above the law, knows more than everyone about everything, and had the right to grope women. If you voted for him, you must be ashamed. And if this is the man you supported and approve of his actions, you are not an American; you are willing to accept fascist rule.
