Trump and his Republican servants are taking steps to exclude Democrats from our government. Because they have control of two branches of our government, and soon the Supreme Court, GOP politicians can completely destroy democracy, and fulfill their dream of fascism. They already have a dictator in the White House; an immoral bully whose only goals are to soothe his ego, and increase his wealth and power.
Once more, the definition. Fascism: “a political system based on a very powerful leader, state control of social and economic life, and extreme pride in country and race, with no expression of political disagreement allowed.”
Let’s break this down. Trump has the Republican congress under his thumb. He is receiving guidance and instruction regarding fascism from the very experienced Vladimir Putin, one of the greatest tyrants of all time. Trump and his cronies in congress are destroying every social program needed by the majority, proposing actions which will increase the wealth of the one-percent while widening income inequality. Although Trump’s slogan; “make America great again,” is merely a euphemism for “make America white again,” he demands blind loyalty from his subjects. He expects the American people to accept “alternative facts.” Trump is not hiding his efforts to repeal the first amendment by keeping the press uninformed. He also plans to require voter ID; a law already denounced by the Supreme Court. Does this qualify as ‘fascism?’
One final fact. Trump’s advisers and nominees for cabinet posts are all millionaires and billionaires. In a matter of weeks our nation was moved from an oligarchy to a plutocracy. A plutocracy cannot exist without fascist rule.
It will take a revolution to regain democracy for the American people, and Abraham Lincoln offered valid reasons for such action.
“Don’t interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.” Abraham Lincoln
“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.” Abraham Lincoln
Do you have the courage to take your country back? Words alone will not suffice; action by all 320 Americans will create a new government; a government which serves the people instead of demanding that we serve it. Together we can defeat 536 men and women in Washington who are of no use to real Americans; the people of this once revered nation.
