If you follow politics, you know that certain guarantees are offered by both parties. Republicans will always band together, even when the issues or individuals they support are wrong and even dangerous to the future of the United States of America, and our people. Democrats are always going to vacillate, and display a lack of courage which often devolves into extreme cowardice.

After Trump’s illegitimate election, the American people listened to promises from Democratic politicians, led by Chuck Schumer, that they would fight Trump and refuse to accept his tyrannical rule. They lied. They are joining Republicans and are bowing to Trump’s nominees and deplorable policies.

With Trump in control of two branches of government, the empty seat on the Supreme Court is crucial to retaining any level of democracy in our nation. President Obama nominated an extremely qualified judge in Merrick Garland who was known as a centrist. He would have replaced the most extreme justice on the Court, Antonin Scalia. Scalia supported every right wing decision in his tenure without considering the damage it might cause to the people.

Trump is likely to appoint another Scalia, and the future of America is in the balance. Schumer promised to follow traitor Mitch McConnell, who refused to conduct hearings, and filibuster Trump’s nominee. Now they have decided to allow Trump another win.

Who is representing the American people in Washington? The answer is no one. We are alone in our nation. But, we are the nation, our government must once again serve us. We must join in the revolution and take our country back.

Marches and protests are not enough. We must take action. For most of us that means get off of the couch and vote. All incumbents must be removed from the cesspool in Washington. Some must run for public office and replace our corrupt and inept government. Not only must Trump be removed from office, all 535 members of congress must go. With the exception of three Democrats, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Kirsten Gillibrand, no one cares about the American people.

The entire Republican Party is no more than a group of hypocrites who value their privilege and power more than the future of the American people.

Time for real change; BIG change.
