Orrin Hatch has Outlived his Usefulness, and Displays One Last Time his Great Hypocrisy

All Republicans share several attributes; attributes which prove that they are the party of special interests. They hate the truth, facts, women, and the working class in general. One other thing they hate is when their own “party first” tactics are used on them, they scream, and yell ‘foul.’

Orrin Hatch, Republican Senator from Utah, has served longer than any other senator. He has been in office since 1976. This is not admirable, it is in fact a travesty. Professional politicians are the most vile men and women on the planet. Hatch is a perfect example of why congress must have term limits.

Hatch has placed his party before his country for his entire career. Now he is leading his party’s criticism of the Democratic Party for using Republican tactics as they attempt to reject Trump’s despicable nominees, and will likely follow Republican Mitch McConnell’s traitorous refusal to hold hearings for Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland.

Almost a year ago, extreme right wing Justice Antonin Scalia died at a resort in Texas. McConnell defied the President, and the American people by rejecting the President’s nominee, and refusing to hold confirmation hearings.

Trump has nominated his own judge, a Scalia clone, to fill the ninth seat on the Court. Neil Gorsuch is another very controversial nominee by Trump, and would give Republicans control of all three branches of government. Historically, whenever this situation occurs in Washington, the working class suffers.

Hatch’s complaint is based on the fact that Democrats walked out of nomination hearings for Trump’s offerings for Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Secretary of the Treasury. Once again, he is displaying the ultimate form of hypocrisy as he denounces Democrats for following the lead of the right wing.

When intelligence is unavailable, name calling ensues. This was Hatch’s response when he called Democrats “idiots.”

The fact is that Tom Price and Steve Mnuchin have committed criminal actions which disqualify them for their posts.

Traitor to the American people, Mitch McConnell, chimed in, but his words could be applied to his own failed actions in the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) blasted Democrats for intentionally causing “chaos” and called their behavior “foolish.”

“They’re manufacturing issues on a daily basis to drag this process out and to treat this president’s initial Cabinet appointments differently from the way we’ve treated presidents of the Democratic Party in similar circumstances,” McConnell fumed at an afternoon press conference.

Remember, this is the same failed politician who stood before the press immediately after President Obama’s inauguration in January of 2009 and promised that Republicans would do nothing with the exception of ensuring that the President served only a single term. He kept his promise, and this is why our government became dysfunctional, and public opinion gave congress a favorable rating below ten-percent.

Add to this, his refusal to hold hearings for the vacant seat on the Supreme Court, he is not only an obstructionist, but a man who hates the American people.

Hatch and McConnell are perfect examples of why we must have term limits similar to those imposed upon the president.

I hope that none of you are delusional and believe that the Republican Party represents the working class.

Vive La Revolucion.”
