If you actually watched Lady Gaga’s halftime performance in Super Bowl LI, you know that this was the spectacle most of us expected. It contained music, showmanship, and flare. Unless you dislike her or only watched segments of her performance, you must admit that it was the greatest of all time.
She was patriotic, inspired a warm emotional response, and didn’t shy away from being “Gaga.”
But not everyone saw it as it was. One group interpreted the show as a “satanic ritual.” Really; I can’t make this s**t up.
The most extreme right wing and well-known nut job, Alex Jones of ‘InfoWars,’ spoke for the Alt-Right white supremacist group.
On Facebook Jones posted a message to warn followers not to watch Gaga’s show because she’s the ‘spawn of Satan’ and part of the ‘New World Order’.
After claiming Gaga “does rituals” and pointing out she once wore a meat suit, Jones said the Super Bowl “organisers are deciding to defile America and break our will by having us bow down to this.”
“They say she’s going to stand on top of the stadium, ruling over everyone with drones everywhere, surveilling everyone in a big swarm,” he said. “To just condition them to say ‘I am the Godess of Satan’ ruling over them with the rise of the robots in a ritual of lesser magic.”
Wow! I knew this conspiracy theorist and the man who is America’s greatest prevaricator was completely out of his mind, but this is beyond my wildest imagination. It’s probably just ‘talent envy;’ he has none and she is already a legend.
Jones’ associates in Alt-Right have been linked to white supremacism, Islamophobia, antifeminism and anti-Semitism. It endorsed Trump last year, but that was a given: Trump’s senior adviser and chief strategist is also a member of this anti-American group.
Let’s take a moment to do what I do best; tell the whole truth.
Jones, Trump, Pence, Bannon, and the rest of Trump’s circle of sinners, are white, and getting older. Soon they will no longer infest our nation with their lies which instigate fear, anger and hatred. America will begin to grow and join the other developed nations around the world. Racism, bigotry, Islamophobia, homophobia, and misogyny will cease to exist.
Jones has surpassed Rush Limbaugh as the nation’s craziest person, and most habitual liar. I remain very concerned that both of these men have ‘loyal audiences.’ What does that say about the intelligence of a segment of our nation? When did lying become more valid to the American people than facts and the truth?
As Trump often tweets; “so sad.”
