The world knows that Trump has a very weak temperament, and is an egomaniac. These two enormous flaws are the result of paranoia. Now that he is the illegitimate president, this problem with paranoia is growing, and may soon prove to be a threat to national security.
Trump’s latest lie is truly incomprehensible. Without any form of proof, the man who has access to the ‘nuclear football’ is claiming that President Obama ‘tapped the phones’ in Trump Tower during the campaign season. He believes that the first president without a scandal in modern history was so concerned about the election that he committed a crime; preposterous.
“Is it legal for a sitting president to be ‘wiretapping’ a race for president prior to an election?” Trump wrote. “A new low!”
“I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to election!”
He then says this is a “Nixon/Watergate” level crime.
We all knew that Trump could not remain ‘presidential’ for very long; but this is the biggest lie he has ever told. It is totally unsubstantiated, and his assumption is frightening. Has this ‘dirty old man’ lost what was left of his mind?
I must be a bit suspicious here. Is this another one of Trump’s efforts to distract from the expanding investigation into his and his circle of sinners relationships with Russia and Vladimir Putin? I know that now that the “Golden Showers Dossier” has been proven factual, he must be extremely afraid of what comes next, but this is a feeble effort to discredit one of the greatest presidents in our nation’s history.
The American people must never forget that Trump attacked President Obama for years with his “birther movement.” He eventually redacted his claim during the 2016 campaign. In addition, Trump attacked the President whenever he took a vacation or played a round of golf. Trump played six rounds of golf in his first four weeks, and made three consecutive and unnecessary trips to Mar-a-Lago which cost taxpayers more than ten million dollars.
Trump cannot resist tweeting. He is unable to win any legitimate argument, and tweeting is safe; his ego remains unharmed.
For me, Trump is becoming tiresome. He’s like a distant relative who was somewhat entertaining until he moved closer, and his visits became more frequent.
“Dump Trump” remains a very good idea. I just wish Republicans weren’t such hypocrites.
