For 20 years I have complained about the drastic changes in the Republican Party. It has moved away from a party with ideas, and a single purpose; to serve the American people. Its prime agenda today is winning elections and amassing power. This is why they are following Trump’s immoral and unconstitutional policies. They are in control of two branches of government, and with the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch, they will control the Supreme Court.
Republicans have proven that they are unable to create anything. Not a single bill which would positively affect the majority has been proposed from the right side of the aisle. Throughout President Obama’s Administration, Republicans attempted to destroy advances for the working class and transfer that money to special interests.
After Trump’s illegitimate election, Republican politicians were anxious to repeal what has become known as “Obamacare.” After failing 54 times in the House to destroy a law which has benefited at least 22 million Americans; mostly low income; they were now guaranteed success. This success would be at the expense of the American people.
Protests began across the United States at meetings held by Republican legislators. They proved that the American people like Obamacare. It definitely needs modifications, but the basics are sound.
Led by failure and hypocrite, Paul Ryan, GOP politicians hurried to present a replacement. To put it in Trump terms; it’s so sad. It would fail most Americans and benefit the wealthy, which has become Republican policy in the 21st century. Older Americans will not be able to afford insurance, and may suffer life-threatening conditions. It is estimated that over the next 10 years, 24 million Americans will lose their healthcare. Instead of repairing Obamacare, they are attempting to shove “Trumpcare” down the throats of the American people. There is only one reason for this; they are attempting to destroy the focal point of the Obama Administration.
Before I leave you, I will offer a single example of the failure of Trumpcare.
A 64-year-old American whose income is near the poverty level at $26,500 a year, will find his or her premiums rise to an additional cost of $13,000 each year.
The Republican Party is creating Sarah Palin’s “death panel.”
