Between 2011 and 2013 the FBI received permission to tap the phones in Trump Tower; but they did not belong to Donald Trump. An illegal Russian gambling ring resided in the tower just three floors below Trump.

Unit 63A was raided in 2013. 30 individuals were arrested, but not the ring leader, Alimzhan Tokhtakhunov, who somehow escaped capture.

This simply adds more to the question regarding Trump’s relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin. Documents accepted as fact by the foreign press prove that Trump has been involved in a close relationship for nearly a decade. Republicans are desperate to force current hearings to contradict the facts accepted by most of the world’s authorities.

Trump has been involved in multiple business dealings which benefited Russian oligarchs in their efforts to launder money. One of his first phone calls after he was elected was allegedly to receive instructions and congratulations from Putin, and to thank the Russian president for his assistance. Multiple members of Trump’s campaign staff maintained contact with Russian agents during the 2016 campaign. Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, has strong ties with Putin both professionally and personally. Former national security adviser, Michael Flynn was paid by a state sponsored Russian television agency to speak on its behalf.

According to Republicans, there is no fire; yet. But there is a hell of a lot of smoke.
