Trump Adds Nepotism to his List of Crimes

Ivanka

Two members of Trump’s White House staff are his son-in-law, Jerad Kushner, and his daughter Ivanka. Like Trump, neither has any experience or qualifications which allow them to be a part of the White House staff. Jared is salaried, and has been given multiple duties according to Trump. Ivanka will not receive a salary, although her travel expenses and the cost of secret service protection will run into the millions. What purpose, other than to babysit her father, she will provide is unclear.

A debate has risen regarding whether or not this is nepotism. Appearing on Anderson Cooper’s CNN broadcast, Norman Eisen, President Obama’s chief ethics adviser, had this to say.

“My view … is that the nepotism statute does apply to the White House,” Eisen said on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” of the announcement that Ivanka Trump would receive an official role in the Trump administration. “For decades the Justice Department held yes, the nepotism statute applies to the White House.”

He continued: “President Trump got an opinion from the Justice Department that the nepotism statute doesn’t apply to his White House,” Eisen continued. “We don’t agree with that opinion.”

Now let’s take a close look at what Mr. Eisen said. He told Mr. Cooper that Trump received an opinion from the ‘Justice Department.’ White Supremacist and Russian conspirator Jeff Sessions leads the Justice Department, and knows absolutely nothing about federal law. And of course Sessions will always agree with Trump’s opinions, right or wrong.

Time will tell, but one thing is certain; Trump has already committed dozens of ethics violations. The question is; when will he be charged with these criminal acts? We cannot rely on hypocritical members of the Party of Destruction.
