An Honest Analysis of Trump’s 100 Days of Chaos

After Trump was gifted the election by the Electoral College, I and many others forecast an administration of ‘gloom and doom.’ However, no one could have forecast how horrific ‘Donnie boy’ would become, or imagined that his cabinet and advisers would factually be labeled a true ‘circle of sinners.’

Trump began to display his disdain for the American people almost immediately. He selected millionaires and billionaires to fill his White House staff. Not only were they the very type of individuals he promised to remove from the Washington hierarchy, they were also white supremacist, bigots, Islamophobes, homophobes, and misogynists. Not a great beginning. Not one of his highest level advisers was qualified for his or her position. The blind would be leading the blind.

His inaugural speech was filled with lies and misdirection. His profession of ‘America first’ was a clear indication that he would alienate both our adversaries and our allies. It was also a feeble attempt to disguise his plan for autocratic rule.

To distract the media and the American people from his treasonous complicity with Vladimir Putin during the election, Trump attempted to make multiple false and supercilious statements. He claimed that three million votes were cast illegally; and all for Hillary. The truth is that she crushed him by nearly that number in the popular vote. Then there was the ridiculous claim that his inauguration experienced the ‘biggest turnout in history.’ Aerial photographs revealed that it was one of the smallest in American history. Finally there was the absurd allegation that President Obama had ordered a wiretapping of his Trump Tower residence. Impossible, according to every security agency.

What about his ‘accomplishments?’ Executive orders are not ‘accomplishments.’ One of his first orders was to ban Muslims from seven states from entering the United States. A federal judge struck down the order, and a restructured offering weeks later. Humanity one; Trump zero.

Trump attempted to repeal and replace Obamacare with a hastily and multi-flawed ‘Trumpcare.’ It was so horrible, Paul Ryan refused to bring it to a vote on the floor of the House. Humanity two; Trump zero.

He tried to withhold fund from so called ‘sanctuary cities.’ A federal judge struck that order down. Humanity three; Trump zero.

The only significant piece of legislation signed by Trump was to prevent a government shutdown for one week on his 99th day in office. That was only accomplished by removing a demand to fund his ‘wall.’

Trump will claim achievements tonight at a rally in Pennsylvania which were actually originated during President Obama’s Administration.

Trump is the biggest failure in history. His knowledge of government and governing is nil. His closest advisers are white supremacist Steve Bannon, and two spoiled rich children who cannot spell ‘w-o-r-k;’ Ivanka and Jared Kushner.

Trump will also tout the nomination of Supreme Court Justice, Neil Gorsuch. Sadly, he would not be on the Court today had not Mitch McConnell damaged the senate forever by changing a long standing law regarding the rules of filibuster, and thereby removing another part of our democracy.

Sad; so sad.
