On October 28, 2016, Hillary Clinton was leading comfortably in the polls. The revelation of Trump’s immoral character, and by his own words, his objectification of women, placed any possibility of a win on November 8th in the rear view mirror. However, on that day an announcement by FBI Director James Comey that he was re-opening an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s e-mails changed everything. On October 29th, the polls became much closer.
In a roundabout manner, Comey admitted a few days ago that his intrusion into the electoral process may have harmed ‘one of the candidates.’ But he’s not done with his attempts to harm Hillary, and this time it is all based on lies. (Is he part of Trump’s circle of sinners?)
According to CNN: “FBI Director James Comey told a Senate committee last week that ‘hundreds and thousands’ of emails containing classified information had been forwarded from top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin to the home computer she shared with her husband — and one-time New York congressman — Anthony Weiner.” Information obtained by the FBI that Russia might have been interfering in our election was never mentioned until after November 8th.
This was horribly inaccurate. The number of e-mails involved is far less than stated by Mr. Comey. This offers minor satisfaction to those of us who adamantly opposed Trump’s presidency. We know that Comey is not only incompetent, he is also but biased. The big question now is ‘will he thoroughly and honestly investigate Trump’s Russian connections?’
We know that Trump’s Attorney General will never take any legal action which might prove that Trump is guilty of criminal ethics violations, or nepotism, etc., and he would likely obstruct any evidence of Trump’s collusion with Vladimir Putin during the campaign. Sessions will prevent a charge of treason against his boss at all costs, including violating the Constitution.
Where is Comey’s loyalty? All we know is that the American people and the law are not his first priority.
This entire situation in Washington is a travesty, and a slap in the face of the American people. We need to look no further than Trumpcare. When the American people oppose the repeal of Obamacare, and every healthcare organization in America from the AMA to AARP denounces Trumpcare, and Trump and his hypocritical cronies in the House had the nerve to throw a ‘beer bust’ after narrowly passing the bill, we know what must be done. Celebrating the deaths of thousands of Americans annually because they are unable to obtain adequate healthcare is unforgivable. It is time to destroy the Republican Party, and replace it with men and women who will serve their constituents, while denying the wishes of special interests.
We must get rid of the old white men who are destroying our nation. I don’t believe that most Americans are aware of the ages required to run for office. To run for the House, the candidate must be 25 years of age; the Senate requires an age of 30; and the presidency 35. So think about it millennials. You can and must make a difference. Serve your country, and serve your family and friends. Traitors such as Trump, McConnell, Lyin Ryan, Sessions, and Comey must go, and you can insure that younger Americans have a voice in Washington. After all, you are now the largest voting bloc; think about it.
