The fact that we have a white supremacist administration in Washington, is proof the the ‘third reich’ mentality continues to flourish in America. Hate crimes have become acceptable; or at least that’s what the television “news” would like us to believe. They report ad nauseam about foreign terrorism but fail to inform the American people about what is truly domestic terrorism; a growing and frightening problem in America.
I’m willing to bet real money that you never heard about the murder of Richard Collins III last month. Mr. Collins was a young black man who was a commissioned second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and was days away from graduating from Bowie State University. His life did not end on a battlefield; he died in College Park Maryland. Sean Urbanski, the University of Maryland student who allegedly stabbed Collins to death, belongs to a racist Facebook group called Alt-Reich: Nation.
Was this heinous crime virtually ignored nationally because the killer was white and the victim black?
I believe that the definition of ‘domestic terrorism’ is the one offered by the author of the attached article; Arie Perliger: “the use of violence in a political and social context that aims to send a message to a broader target audience.”
The most horrific result of the ‘Trump Effect’ is a change in the social mores within our nation. Thousands of men and women who were in the shadows are now openly expressing and acting upon their distorted views of America.
The greatest wrong, created by the illegitimate election of Donald Trump, is that African Americans, Hispanics, Muslims, Jews, the LGBTQ community, and even women live in fear of verbal and physical abuse.
Donald Trump and his hypocritical Republican Party would like us to believe that the word ‘terrorist’ applies exclusively to those who call themselves ‘Muslims’ but are in fact not believers in the words of the Prophet Muhammad. The Ku Klux Klan, the Aryian Brotherhood, and other hate groups in America call themselves ‘Christians,’ but deny the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Domestic terrorism is a greater problem in the United States than our exaggerated fear of an attack by a radicalized foreign entity, whether they be self-admitted members of ISIS, Al Qaeda, or another extremist and terrorist organization.
The atmosphere in America has been altered in just four-and-one-half months. Fear, hatred, and violence are now the norm. Compassion, love for our fellow man, and understanding have been pushed into the shadows as the evil in America is now welcomed into the light of day.
The slaughter of Lieutenant Collins is not unique. The Southern Poverty Law Center is the only group which tracks hate crimes/domestic terrorism. Their best estimate is that these crimes have increased 800 percent since the November election. But you’ll never hear about that from the television media, and law enforcement fails to keep statistics.
I yearn for my America; an America which cherishes all of our nation’s citizens, and believes in freedom for all and protection of each individual’s human rights.
There is no room for prejudice, bigotry, hatred, or violence.
Please join me in informing the American people of the truth. Refuse to allow our government to commit lies of omission; stay informed.
Please re-post; thank you.
