Republicans Hiding from Voters while on another Vacation

Trumpcare is more unpopular than executing Santa Claus. Voters have overwhelmingly voiced their opposition to the Republican healthcare bill, which would prevent at least 22 million Americans from obtaining a plan, raise costs, limit coverage, reduce Medicaid funding, and give tax cuts to the one-percent, including your illegitimate president. Only 12 percent of all Americans approve of the Senate’s bill.

So, what are GOP politicians doing about it during their 4th of July vacation? They’re hiding from voters.

Many Republicans refused to march in their city’s parades, and those who did were greeted with boos and chants denouncing Trumpcare. Some of the loudest were received by Texas Senator Ted Cruz in McAllen, a town which borders on Mexico. His antagonists shouted “Ted wants to kill us.”

Of course I join with the protesters, but the only important result is if they vote them out of office when their turn for reelection comes; Cruz is part of the one-third of Senators who will face angry voters in 2018.

Since his election in 2012, Cruz has been known as the most hated man in Washington. In 2016, Senator Lindsey Graham joked about Cruz’ lack of popularity. “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you.”

Because ‘Republican’ is a synonym for ‘hypocrite,’ Graham and his fellow GOP senators supported Cruz during his campaign in a concerted effort to ‘dump Trump.’ Cruz was literally their last hope. Once again they capitulated when Trump was gifted the presidency by the Electoral College.

Republicans can’t hide forever. They were elected to serve the people, not rule over us. We are a nation of 320 million men, women, and children who will be heard, or every Republican will be removed from their lives of privilege and luxury. This is our country, and they are no more than paid servants who must support our needs and wishes, or go work for minimum wage at a fast food joint.

Two days ago, when America celebrated its independence, I was once again reminded about real patriotism. I respect and am loyal to the people of my country, and to my government when it deserves it. On this day, they have proven failures, and my only emotion is frustration.

Promise yourself now that if a candidate has an “R” next to his or her name, they must not receive your vote. They have failed you, your family, and your friends, and cannot be trusted.

Please re-post; thank you.
