During Trump’s first overseas trip, Trump removed his title of ‘leader of the free world.’ He removed America from the G7, and weakened our position in NATO. Now, after his second trip to the G20 in Hamburg, Germany, Trump has left the United States standing alone in the world.

Two issues of great importance to the other 19 nations were rejected by Donald Trump. He continues to deny that ‘climate change caused by man,’ claiming that it is a ‘hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.’ He has also been critical of all trade agreements.

Now that the Summit is over, the other 19 members have decided that a United States of America, under Trump’s administration, is not trustworthy, and fails to share its most important interests.

An Australian reporter summed up the situation, and why Trump is incapable of leading the United States or the free world.

Chris Uhlmann is the political editor of the government-funded Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He reported the following.

“He was an uneasy, lonely, awkward figure at this gathering and you got the strong sense that some of the leaders are trying to find the best way to work around him,” Uhlmann said.

“Where was the G20 statement condemning North Korea which would have put pressure on China and Russia? Other leaders expected it, they were prepared to back it, but it never came.”

“We learned that Donald Trump has pressed fast-forward on the decline of the United States as a global leader. He managed to isolate his nation, to confuse and alienate his allies and to diminish America.

“[He is] a man who barks out bile in 140 characters, who wastes his precious days as president at war with the west’s institutions like the judiciary, independent government agencies and the free press.”

I’ve said it all, but no better than Mr. Uhlmann. As a candidate Trump proved himself to be the least qualified presidential hopeful in American history. Now he has proven himself to be unfit to lead our nation and the world.

I predicted a disaster at the G20, and I’m very concerned that I was right. If this is Trump’s idea of ‘making America great again,’ by alienating our allies, and diminishing our nation’s reputation around the world, then he has succeeded.

He has also ‘made America white again,’ with efforts to establish white nationalism. Donald J. Trump is the greatest disaster in the history of the United States.

In a short time he has destroyed eight years of President Obama’s efforts to restore our status in the world after George W. Bush’s disastrous two terms in office. The truth is that he has destroyed the America of our founding fathers.

But he has not done it alone. ‘Republicans in name only’ have aided and abetted Trump in his efforts to destroy democracy and repeal the first amendment. They have rallied around their vile and deplorable leader without any concern for the American people. They are the enemy, and we must defeat them. In November of 2018 we will have the opportunity.
