“I’m going to do something I haven’t done the entire campaign. I’m going to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump. This man is a pathological liar. He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth. And in a pattern that I think is straight out of a psychology text book, his response is to accuse everybody else of lying.”
This was Ted Cruz in May of 2016. It came after Trump accused Cruz’ father of involvement in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Today, Cruz is a surrogate for Trump, bowing to his master. Does the word hypocrite apply? Damn right it does.
Trump still lies, and Trump remains mentally incompetent, and should be removed from office using the 25th amendment.
As for Cruz, he is a disgrace to the office he holds, and has failed the people of Texas. His approval rating in his home state is below fifty percent. He is also trailing in the polls to his likely Democratic opponent in 2018.
After Trump was gifted the election by the Electoral College, Cruz did a complete ‘one-eighty,’ and now bows at the feet of the man he claimed to once despise.
So, who is Ted Cruz? He’s a Tea Party darling who has been labeled the ‘most hated man in Washington.’ During the campaign season I wrote about his college days. He had no friends. He was considered an ‘arrogant know-it-all.’ During his first months in the senate, he led the fight to shut-down the government; refusing to agree to sufficient funding for the government to continue to operate.
He has remained a leader in the fight to repeal Obamacare, without any form of replacement. He doesn’t care that you and I may not have healthcare; he receives the best medical care taxpayer money can buy. Cruz is an opportunist.
Cruz stands with Trump’s suggestion that if the senate cannot pass their version of Trumpcare, the focus should be a complete repeal of Obamacare, and maybe, or maybe not, replace it at a later date. In other words; no healthcare for tens of millions of Americans.
Once again Cruz is at odds with the leader of the senate, Mitch McConnell. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham once said: “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you.” McConnell has a very different view of the situation than Trump and his surrogate, Ted Cruz.
“If my side is unable to agree on an adequate replacement, then some kind of action with regard to the private health insurance market must occur,” McConnell said in Kentucky. “No action is not an alternative. We’ve got the insurance markets imploding all over the country, including in this state.”
Cruz is not to be trusted. He has no idea where he stands on the issues because he has no principles; no morals. It turns out that he and Trump are more alike than I once believe. The only difference is that Cruz’ hair is real.
Please re-post; thank you.
