Sam Clovis doubts the fact that climate change is caused by man’s use of fossil fuels. He does not have a degree in the natural sciences. Trump has just nominated him to be the undersecretary for research, education and economics in the United States Department of Agriculture. The ‘Union of Concerned Scientists’ says that his nomination violates US code.
We know that Trump doesn’t believe in science. The real reason Clovis was chosen is that he was a conservative talk show host in Iowa, and was an adviser to Trump during the campaign. I guess that Trump will never choose a qualified candidate for any of the important positions in his administration.
DeVos, Pruit, Ross, Mnuchin, Sessions, Price, Carson, Perry, Tillerson, and the others are all woefully unfit to lead the departments they now head. Incompetence and ignorance sum up my description of Trump’s circle of sinners.
It appears that Putin, Mercer, and Trump are purposely destroying America piece by piece, and not a single Republican is speaking up for our nation’s people. They have capitulated to every demand made by their failing leader.
It was also reported today that Sean Spicer has resigned as Trump’s Press Secretary. Spicer has been a target of the media, late night talk show hosts, and Saturday Night Live for months. But his reason for leaving is Trump’s latest appointee. He named Anthony Scaramucci as the White House Communications Director. Scaramucci’s experience in government or communications is nil; he is a hedge fund financier. When Trump refused to listen to Spicer’s concerns, he decided to tender his resignation.
Personally I’m unhappy. I thoroughly enjoyed Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of him on SNL.
Trump has done nothing right in six months; proving that his first term must not last four years.
