Scaramucci’s Hurried Attempts to Establish a Position of Power

Scaramucci

When Trump announced the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as his White House Communications Director, what was his true purpose? Scaramucci is unqualified, with no experience in government. Okay, that describes all of Trump’s White House staff, but why another Wall Street executive? It’s beginning to appear that he is Trump’s hired ‘hit-man.’

Scaramucci’s first statements were threats to every member of the White House staff. He told them that if they leak information to the press or to the American people, they would be fired. This adds additional proof that Trump’s administration is disjointed and in chaos.

Scaramucci has apparently placed a target on the back of White House Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus. Reports from White House insiders claim that the two men have been involved in an ‘unfriendly’ relationship since the election in November. Scaramucci was denied a position on Trump’s team, and he blames Priebus for that situation.

“When I put out a tweet and I put Reince’s name in a tweet, they’re all make the assumption that it’s him because journalists know who the leakers are,” Scaramucci said. “So if Reince wants to explain he’s not a leaker, let him do that. But let me tell you about myself. I’m a straight shooter and I’ll go right to the heart of the matter.”

So, how much power has Trump given to Scaramucci? Or is this brash individual attempting to grasp control for himself? Today it was reported that Scaramucci’s finances are under investigation by the FBI. Of course Scaramucci’s first response was to blame Priebus for the “leak.” There could be a new Netflix series coming: “The Wild West Wing;” but will it be a comedy or a horror film?

Scaramucci claimed that he could not have dinner with fellow liar Sean Hannity without it leaking to the press.

“It’s absolutely, completely and totally reprehensible,” he said. “And as you know from the Italian expression: The fish stinks from the head down. But I can tell you two fish that don’t stink, and that’s me and the President.”

This guy sounds like a ‘parody’ of a mobster on Saturday Night Live.

Referring to leaks about US foreign policy, Scaramucci said: “Those are the types of leaks that are so treasonous that 150 years ago, people would have actually been hung for those types of leaks.”

I guess that this is the best Trump could do; no one wants to work for an egomaniac who explodes into a temper tantrum at the slightest provocation.

I want to thank the president. After Spicer resigned, we needed a new comic standing before the press. During our national nightmare laughter will be the best and only medicine we can afford.

Please re-post; thank you.
