JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SUPPRESSING VOTERS IN ANOTHER EFFORT TO SUPPORT FASCISM

Sessions (3)

Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions have begun another assault on the first amendment; our right to vote. They are attempting to remove registered voters from states and subsequently reduce the number of voters, offering an advantage to Republican candidates. This is not only a direct violation of the Constitution, it is another attempt to re-create America into a fascist State.

In Ohio, the Jeff Sessions Justice Department has supported the removal of thousand of voters from their rolls based upon inactivity. This desperate effort to suppress voting is abominable and another discredit to Trump’s circle of sinners, and to the Republican Party.

Let’s discuss some facts about elections and about the difference between the two major parties.

When voter turnout is high, Democrats are more likely to win. This is the primary reason why Republicans in Washington and Republican Governors encourage efforts to suppress voting, especially from minorities. Throughout my life I was told how important voting was. It is not only a right, my vote can shape the direction in which our country moves in the future. Nothing proves this fact more than the current situation our country is suffering through today.

Even before the first time I was able to vote, in 1968, I heard my uncles, my grandfather, and others claim that there was not very much difference between the two parties. I believe that was true 20 or 30 years ago, but not today; they simply viewed situations from different sides.

The Republican Party has morphed into something entirely different. It is the party of the rich, and a party which represents special interests and not the majority. It is a party of extremists which lacks the ability or the desire to work with other members of congress and create legislation which would improve the lives of our nation’s people. Republicans are selective in their choice of who they will represent after they win an election.

Although Democrats have also moved more to the right, there remain members of the party who hold their liberal values closely. When a Democrat is in the White House, the working class benefits. If we take an honest look back at the presidencies of Reagan, and all others since he left office in 1988, two facts stand out; the working class experiences a better quality of life, and Democrats are far superior controlling our nation’s fiscal needs. The facts are there; don’t believe the alternative facts coming from right wing extremists.

Trump is proving once again that Republicans are unable to govern effectively.

Please re-post; thank you.
