The fallout from Trump’s admission that he supports white supremacists continues. Trump’s two economic councils have been disbanded as one by one their CEO’s resigned from the groups. Trump was forced to take the embarrassing step of eliminating his ties to big business.
So far only two Republicans, Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake have denounced Trump for his comments supporting white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and the KKK. This is sad; the Party of Lincoln is defunct. However, some of America’s largest corporations have made a statement. Trump is not acceptable as the leader of our nation.
There is one person, one hate group, which cheered Trump’s admission that he aligns his own principles with theirs. David Duke, former grand wizard of the KKK thanked Trump for his remarks.
“Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville & condemn the leftist terrorists in BLM/Antifa,” Duke tweeted after the news conference.
When Hillary Clinton called some of Trump’s supporters a ‘basket of deplorables,’ she was correct. Any man or woman who claims that he or she is an American can no longer offer their support to Trump. Those who remain loyal are themselves white supremacists and hate my America; this is an undeniable fact.
Congress is not in session, and will remain so until after Labor Day. What will they have to say to their constituents in their home towns about Trump and his admission of being a white nationalist? Will they separate themselves or once and for all prove my assertion that the Republican Party supports racism and bigotry? This is a defining moment for GOP politicians. This one instance will confirm who they support; the American people or Trump. This is their last opportunity to stand up and do the right thing or forever be know as traitors to the people who elected them.
Please re-post; thank you.
