Trump’s vile comments on Tuesday have far reaching repercussions. World leaders, CEO’s of large corporations, and even some in his own party are choosing to distance themselves from their failing and illegitimate president.
The Cleveland Clinic has an annual fund raiser. In the past it has been held at Trump’s millionaires only club, Mar-a-Lago. They have canceled their 2018 event.
Stephen Koff, who writes for ‘cleveland.com,’ reported that the Cleveland Clinic will join the corporations which resigned from Trump’s business councils in protest for his failure to denounce racism and bigotry. But he also noted that this decision began much earlier.
“The Mar-a-Lago controversy erupted soon after Trump took office in January and signed an executive order to temporarily ban people from Syria and other Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States. This affected medical students and young doctors doing residencies at American hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic.”
I would love to see Trump spend much more time at Mar-a-Lago; much more time. The White House is a ‘dump,’ according to Trump, and the American people don’t want him defiling our most treasured residence any longer. Most of America would love to see Trump playing golf seven days a week, instead of destroying our democracy.
Will the decision by the Cleveland Clinic began a movement by businesses and foreign leaders. Will they refuse to meet with Trump at his ‘playpen?’
Please re-post; thank you.
