Will the Fallout of Firing Bannon Destroy Trump’s Illegitimate Presidency?

Oval Office

No intelligent American refuses to question why Steve Bannon was Trump’s first selection for his White House staff. Bannon’s own credentials were as a Wall Street tycoon, and as the executive director of the extreme right wing publication, ‘Breitbart.’ The only thing we knew is that Bannon was supported by billionaire Robert Mercer. Mercer was unknown in American politics until he placed his support behind the ambitions of Ted Cruz. When Cruz failed badly, Mercer moved his money and his staff to Donald Trump’s campaign. Mercer forced Trump to accept Bannon as his CEO, a position never recognized by any other campaign in history, and Kellyanne Conway as Trump’s campaign chairman; although neither was qualified to receive their positions.

The American people quickly learned that Conway was Trump’s personal ‘spin doctor,’ but no one knew the purpose of Bannon until Trump’s attacks on Hillary Clinton and others became more vicious. Bannon focused on an agenda similar to that of his former Breitbart tenure; today he has returned to that extreme and racist rag.

After his firing on Friday, Bannon pledged to continue his fight for his view of a Donald Trump presidency. In his first statement after leaving the White House, he indicated that he would ‘destroy’ others who remain on Trump’s staff, and work to remove Paul Ryan as the Speaker of the House.

We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency,” he told the Standard. “But that presidency is over. It’ll be something else. And there’ll be all kinds of fights, and there’ll be good days and bad days, but that presidency is over.”

Bannon and Trump will surely retain their relationship; they are of like mind regarding white nationalism and a country first ideology. Both men believe in isolationism and an increased military and financial position in the world. But will this help or hinder Trump’s illegitimate presidency?

Bannon will certainly attack his enemies in the White House and on Capitol Hill. It is no secret that his animosity will be focused on H.R. McMaster, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and Paul Ryan. Back at Breitbart, he will use all of the resources of this divisive and bigoted publication and its radio broadcasts to attack those he views as destructive to his ideal of Trump’s illegitimate presidency. The question which arises is ‘will Trump stand with his current staff, his daughter, his son-in-law, and the Speaker, or will Bannon’s efforts result in increased chaos in the White House?’

Trump’s original ‘inner circle’ no longer exists with the exception of Mike Pence. In just seven months Trump’s circle of sinners has experienced dramatic change; change never experienced previously in our nation’s history. At the core of this fact is Trump. He is unpredictable and inconsistent. Not even those closest to him can claim to know what he will say or do next. This may be acceptable in the private sector, but nations must have leaders who select a path and stay on that path. Trump not only strays from that path, he often turns and walks backwards.

I have stated multiple times that Trump is not mentally competent to be our nation’s president. His erratic behavior, his weak temperament and inflated ego, along with his inability to focus on a task for more than a couple of minutes offer definitive proof that he needs psychiatric care.

This situation with Bannon will not end. He may not be in the White House, but he remains closely connected to Trump. The link here is billionaire Robert Mercer. The three men will forever be united and involved in our nation’s government. All three share the same ideology and devotion to the goals of Breitbart.

Please re-post; thank you.
