Before Steve Bannon joined Ted Cruz’ campaign, he was the executive editor for Breitbart. For those of you who are not familiar with Breitbart, here is some information which may make you ill.
Breitbart is both an online publication, and a radio broadcast. The truth is that it is more extreme than FOX Noise and is not real ‘news,’ it is a vehicle for opinions. It was founded in 2007 by Andrew Breitbart who died in 2012. His publication became a vehicle for his support of white nationalism, anti-immigration stance, anti-LGBTQ rights, anti-Semitism, and misogyny. In other words, he hated my America. ‘Breitbart’ continues the tradition which he began.
When Cruz ended his bid for the presidency, Bannon joined Trump’s campaign. Robert Mercer, Breitbart’s biggest supporter, was the ‘money man’ behind Cruz, and moved both his billions and Bannon into Trump’s camp.
Now that Bannon is no longer in the White House, he is returning to Breitbart. “I feel jacked up. Now I’m free. I’ve got my hands back on my weapons. Someone said, ‘It’s Bannon the Barbarian.’ I am definitely going to crush the opposition.”
Trump is also pleased that Bannon is back at Breitbart. “Fake News needs the competition!” Bannon will be a “tough and smart new voice @BreitbartNews … maybe even better than ever before,” Trump wrote.
There’s a huge problem with both statements. Nobody reads Breitbart with the exception of white supremacists, bigots, and hate groups. Hopefully that’s a very small segment of our society. Sadly, this includes your illegitimate president.
Let’s be totally clear; opinion publications are not “news.” FOX Noise, Breitbart, and Alex Jones’ InfoWars are not news. They offer dark and divisive opinions. They are also how Trump spends much of his day when he’s in the White House.
Bannon will no longer be a subject discussed in the political arena; that’s the good news. However, this will not change the atmosphere in the White House. As long as Trump is allowed to soil the White House sheets, our nation will continue to remain in a state of confusion, and feel the shame of having a man in the Oval Office who hates the real United States of America.
Please re-post; thank you.
