In less than two weeks Trump has exposed himself. Trump supports fascism and is a true Nazi. His support of fellow white supremacists was confirmed when he supported the neo-Nazis marching in Charlottesville, his recent nomination of Sam Clovis, his pardon for Joe Arpaio, and even his choice of decorations in the refurbished White House. He has chosen to add more of the famous Nazi symbol; the eagle.
Of all of Trump’s offerings which proves that he is indeed a Nazi, the pardoning of Arpaio is the most controversial and damning. Arpaio’s two decades as the Sheriff of Maricopa County were horrific. He is literally guilty of murder, torture, dereliction of his duties, and thousands of racist attacks on the inmates imprisoned in his jail. To pardon one of the most despicable men in America is a blatant act of fascism. Trump ordered one of his aides to stand before the press and the cameras to defend him.
Tom Bossert works as a security adviser for Homeland Security. He is the ‘flunky’ chosen to be the press’s ‘whipping boy.’ Although Trump has been denounced for this action from both the left and the right, including Arizona Senator John McCain, Bossert attempted to spin the situation.
“Just about every modern president ends up with some controversial pardons,” Bossert said on ABC News’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” “I don’t think it’s fair to characterize him as not caring about the rule of law.”
Tuesday during a rally in Phoenix, Trump claimed that Arpaio was being punished for “doing his job.”
“I think there’s a clemency argument that can be made for the long history of service, both in the United States military and in law enforcement, for the sheriff,” Bossert added.
This is the singular most outrageous statement ever offered by Trump or his spin doctors. For seven months and seven days we have heard or read in tweets the most reprehensible comments ever issued by your illegitimate president and his paid prevaricators.
Once again; men are judged by the company they keep. Arpaio is a man Trump idolizes, and this is a sad statement for all of the American people.
Please re-post; thank you.
