Pardoning Arpaio will be Trump’s ‘Waterloo’

Arpaio (2)

For seven months and seven days Trump has been making mistakes. His illegitimate presidency has been a total failure. Pardoning Joe Arpaio was the biggest of all, and will haunt him throughout his life. He has received enormous criticism from every part of America and from both parties.

Arpaio terrorized Maricopa County for more than two decades; committing murder, torture, various forms of racially motivated actions, and failing to investigate charges of rape including some regarding children.

By pardoning Arpaio, Trump proved to the entire world that he is a fascist and supports white supremacy.

For the first time since Trump was elected by the Electoral College, Paul Ryan criticized his fuhrer.

“The Speaker does not agree with this decision,” spokesman Doug Andres said in a statement. “Law enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon.”

The senior Senator from Arizona also denounced Trump for pardoning this vile and wretched man.

“Mr. Arpaio was found guilty of criminal contempt for continuing to illegally profile Latinos living in Arizona based on their perceived immigration status in violation of a judge’s orders,” McCain said. “The President has the authority to make this pardon, but doing so at this time undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law as Mr. Arpaio has shown no remorse for his actions.”

The junior Senator from Arizona also remarked.

Senator Jeff Flake tweeted Friday night: “Regarding the Arpaio pardon, I would have preferred that the President honor the judicial process and let it take its course.”

Two days ago the Washington Post posted a list of just some of Arpaio’s failures as the Sheriff of Marcopa County.

The ‘Phoenix New Times was his biggest critic and followed his criminal actions for two decades. At one point Arpaio became so enraged with their reporting that he sent two deputies to the homes of two reporters in the middle of the night and arrested them for misdemeanors. A judge ruled that their constitutional rights had been violated. The final result was an order for Maricopa county to pay damages in the amount of $3.7 million; Arpaio retained his position as sheriff.

The offense for which Arpaio was convicted, racial profiling, and pardoned by Trump cost the county $70 million.

Trump claims to be the ‘law and order president.’ Another lie. By the way, he consulted with Attorney General Jeff Sessions before he pardoned Arpaio. Those who wear hooded white robes must stick together.

Please re-post; thank you.
