Republicans Beginning to Look at 2020 Election Without Trump

Trump and Putin

Some Republicans are beginning to face reality; Trump is the worst president in history and lacks any possibility of reelection in 2020. More importantly for 240 Republican members of the House, and eight members of the Senate, who face reelection on November 6, 2018 is the ‘Trump Effect.’ If these 248 men and women cannot separate themselves from their failed leader, they may have serious challenges from Democrats and Independents.

Everything about Trump’s illegitimate presidency has been historical, and not in a good way. A successful challenge by any Republican or right-leaning independent for the 2020 nomination would truly make history. A sitting president has never lost his party’s nomination to a challenger while seeking reelection. However, if Trump’s approval ratings continue to fall, this may change history.

Mark Cuban is a Texas billionaire who owns the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. He is considering a possible bid for the Republican Party’s nomination in 2020.

His base won’t turn on him, but if there is someone they can connect to and feel confident in, they might turn away from him,” Cuban told The Associated Press. “The door is wide open. It’s just a question of who can pull it off.”

Trump has proven to be his own worst enemy. Whenever he tweets, or fails to read from his teleprompter, he creates additional controversy and offers undeniable proof that he does not support the Constitution. With just over one-eighth of his term completed, Trump has alienated the majority of Americans and is losing members of his base with each passing day. Trump has failed to make good decisions, and made the world a more dangerous place. If this pace continues, a qualified and charismatic challenger could make history, and Trump would be evicted from the White House.

Of course, all of this is based on the assumption that he will complete four years in office. His legal problems are growing, and the investigation into his ties with Russia is escalating and focused on his finances. In the world of politics, it is always a case of ‘follow the money.’

The American people must focus on November of 2018 and vote all hypocritical Republicans out of office; they have failed to represent the majority of the American people. Time for all Americans to renounce the two major parties and become true Independents. Democracy must survive.

Please re-post; thank you.
