Trump demands loyalty from everyone but offers none in return. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been a Trump worshiper for more than two years, but Trump does not appreciate that fact. He has attacked Sessions for following legal requirements and recusing himself from the Russia investigation. Another issue was revealed after Trump pardoned the man who terrorized Hispanics in Arizona for 24 years; Joe Arpaio. Trump engaged in a discussion with Sessions to drop the charges against Arpaio before the trial began in July.

It was decided that it would be inappropriate to take such an action. Trump made the decision at that time to pardon Arpaio if he was convicted.

The relationship between Trump and Arpaio began when Arpaio supported Trump’s ‘birther’ efforts in 2011. The two men engaged in their racist behavior for the remainder of President Obama’s first term in office, and part of his second.

Trump made multiple outrageous claims that Mr. Obama was not a natural born citizen. The following summarizes his attacks against the President.

“I have people that have been studying [Obama’s birth certificate] and they cannot believe what they’re finding … I would like to have him show his birth certificate, and can I be honest with you, I hope he can. Because if he can’t, if he can’t, if he wasn’t born in this country, which is a real possibility … then he has pulled one of the great cons in the history of politics.”

Trump remains un-appologetic for his constant attacks.

Donald Trump claims to be the ‘law and order’ president. By pardoning one of the most cruel and criminal men in America, he has proven that the rule of law means nothing to him. For over two decades Arpaio was responsible for the deaths, torture, and racially motivated actions of hundreds of Latinos in Maricopa County.

The key to receiving Trump’s support is through the nurturing of his fragile ego. Arpaio is one of the men Trump most admires. If anyone disagrees that Trump’s closest associates are a ‘basket of deplorables,’ they are ignoring the facts. From Putin to Arpaio, Trump has decided that he admires most, men who have proven themselves to be racists, bigots, and deniers of basic human rights.

Trump has threatened to fire Sessions; but he doesn’t dare. His own party would revolt.

The truth is that Sessions should never have been nominated for the position of Attorney General. He is a white supremacist and therefore unfit for the position.
