The name Don Blankenship is probably not familiar to you. If you worked in the coal industry, you would not only know it, but you probably use it as a curse word. Blankenship is one of the most cruel and heartless millionaires in the world.
In 2010 an explosion occurred at the Upper Big Branch Mine. Massey Energy Company, which is Don Blankenship, owned the mine. 28 Massey coal miners and one contract worker lost their lives. After the investigation was complete, it was confirmed that several safety requirements had been ignored to reduce costs.
For the heinous crime of murdering 29 miners, Blankenship received a one-year sentence in a federal prison, and a $250,000 fine. Really!
Now for the shocking part of this story. Blankenship is so arrogant that he is asking the people of West Virginia to grant him a seat in the United States Senate.
I’m certain that Blankenship was inspired by Trump. If an unscrupulous businessman who is a white supremacist and a sexual predator can become the illegitimate President of the United States, why not a man who is responsible for 29 deaths?
This is the new America; but it’s not my America. I continue to believe that those who are privileged to serve in Washington should have some dignity, some intelligence, and a true desire to serve all of the American people. I will never accept a Trump, a Cruz, a Ryan, a McConnell and others as legitimate public officials. They do not deserve your respect and should not be allowed to live lives of luxury and privilege.
I have no doubt that Blankenship can win; it appears that Roy More is leading in the polls in Alabama. Anything, no matter how disgusting and vile it may be, is now possible in Trump’s depraved America.
Please re-post; thank you.
