The biggest problem in America is being ignored by the Trump administration. Our nation has more than 49 million men, women, and children living in poverty; and that number is sure to grow as Trump and his cronies either reduce funding for social programs or eliminate them all together thanks to failed budget and tax plans
Our second greatest challenge is the opioid crisis. Until now nothing has been done to fight the problem which resulted in the loss of more than 52,000 American lives in 2016. Today the worst Attorney General in history announced that he and Trump’s primary paid liar, Kellyanne Conway, will lead the “fight.” Here’s the problem, they do not know what they are doing.
Sessions believes that more law enforcement will solve the problem. He hasn’t got a clue. Addictions are not cured by locking up the victims. It would make more sense to lock up the doctors who over-prescribed pain medication than to punish those who cannot end their need for opioids or the less expensive heroin without medical assistance. Psychiatric care is mandatory, but Trump, Sessions, and the rest of his Washington Mafia want to take away healthcare from those who need it most.
The current White House is truly an asylum, and the inmates are in charge. No one knows what they are doing, and the few that might be effective have revealed their prejudices and prevent them from representing all Americans.
Chief of Staff John Kelly is a perfect example. He has the experience and the knowledge, but his lies, words and actions during the exchanges between slain special forces Sergeant La David Johnson’s wife, Myeshia, and Congresswoman Frederica Wilson during the exchanges with Trump, proved that he is a racist.
Trump will once again fail tens-of-thousands of Americans. Instead of appointing a medical professional who fully understands the prevention, causes, and cures of addiction to form a panel and address the opioid crisis, he has given the task to a wannabee cop who is a white supremacist, and to his spin doctor. This is why he has failed for 10 months and 10 days. He knows nothing and surrounds himself with others who know nothing.
Republicans have proven that they cannot govern effectively. They lack the expertise and the experience. For eight years, 10 months, and 10 days they have failed to pass a single piece of significant legislation. Without strong leadership Republicans will never succeed.
