Last night after 51 of 52 traitors to the American people passed Trump’s tax plan, they got together and chanted, “we have met the enemy, and he is us.” Informed Americans know that the Republican Party is the enemy of the people, but last night they guaranteed losses in future elections because of their own failures to serve the American people.

Republicans who some of us believed retained principles, gave billions of dollars to Trump and his fellow billionaires while causing great harm to low-income and impoverished Americans. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Jeff Flake, John McCain, and Ben Sasse drank the Kool-Aid and bowed to their fuhrer knowing that they were guaranteeing that the middle class would receive a tax increase; the wealthy would pay fewer taxes; 13 million Americans will be without healthcare; and the deficit will be increased by at least $1.5 trillion.

‘Coward’ is not a strong enough word to describe Republicans; that’s why I call them traitors. We elect them; they promise to serve and care for the American people; when they are elected, they bow to the one-percent of wealthiest Americans.

Last night gave a mandate to the American people. Every registered voter must go to the polls on November 6, 2018. If a candidate has an “R” next to his or her name, he or she is the enemy and must be voted out of office. Trump has no power without his hypocritical and cowardly congress.
