Susan Collins voted for Trump’s tax plan. She supports tax breaks for large corporations and the one-percent; removing healthcare from 14 million Americans; and raising taxes on the middle class. Collins also believes that raising the deficit by $1.5 trillion is acceptable. She is not supporting CHIP which gives healthcare to nine million children from low-income families. Collins does not represent you or me; she is in the pockets of lobbyists.

Appearing on Meet the Press Sunday, Chuck Todd asked Collins how she could support the tax bill when she has been a major critic of increasing the debt.

“Economic growth produces more revenue and that will help to offset this tax cut and actually lower the debt,” she calmly replied.

Collins went on to claim that top economists had approved of the bill. This was a lie; Republicans and Democrats never had an opportunity to read a final draft before the vote was taken early last Saturday morning.

We know she’s lying because she has witnessed the failure of trickle-down economics during the Reagan, and Bush 41 and 43 administrations.

Collins is on my list of Republicans who are waging a war against the working class. She saw the CBO report and her words were nothing more than a huge lie.
